Partner with Learn Punjabi
This page is for organisations: sponsorship, press, content partnerships and anything else that needs a conversation. If you're an individual wanting to chip in, the donate page is the quicker route.
Every lesson, story and audio clip is free, and always will be. Patrons are how that works — people who love the language covering the cost so the next learner pays nothing.

Why your donation matters
Every generation of the diaspora risks losing a little more of the language. Learn Punjabi exists to slow that down — a calm, free, beginner-friendly home for the Gurmukhi script, everyday vocabulary, real phrases, and the culture behind them. Tens of thousands of learners across the UK, Canada, the US and Australia use it — some reconnecting with a language their family speaks, some coming to Punjabi with no family connection at all.
Free doesn't mean free to run. Hosting, audio, illustrations and the hours that go into every lesson all cost money — and everything that comes in goes straight back out into the app: new lessons, better tools, continuous development. A few pounds a month from the people who love this resource covers a great deal of it, without ever compromising the experience with intrusive ads.
What it built recently: free accounts that sync your progress across devices, a personal deck of saved words with spaced repetition so each one comes back just before you'd forget it, and learning streaks — all of it free, for everyone, with no paid tier waiting behind it.
Our commitment to you
- What is free today stays free. Lessons, quizzes, phrases, stories, accounts, saved words and practice are free on this website and will not be taken away and sold back. Anything we ever charge for would be additional to that, never a fence around it.
- Donations go into the resource. Hosting, audio, new lessons, new stories — not overheads.
- No data games. Accounts are optional and store almost nothing, there are no tracking-heavy ad networks, and attention is never for sale.
- Patron status is thanks, not access. The badge on your account is recognition — it never unlocks anything another learner can't have.
- Community first. Any partners we work with are curated, values-aligned and clearly labelled — never ad networks.
Where your support is taking us
Donations don't just keep the lights on - they fund what's coming next. This is the roadmap your support unlocks.
Progress that follows you between phone and laptop, saved words, streaks, and spaced-repetition practice - built and released free, funded by patrons.
A YouTube series - the stories, phrases and history of Punjab, made watchable for the diaspora.
Most free Punjabi material stops at greetings and numbers. Longer reading, real conversation, and the grammar that lets you build your own sentences instead of repeating ours.
One-to-one lessons with vetted Punjabi tutors, for learners ready to go beyond self-study.
Gurmukhi alphabet posters, workbooks and keepsakes - beautiful things for your wall and your kids.
A space for the diaspora to practise together, ask questions and keep each other going.
New vocabulary, culture guides and stories from Punjab's history, added month after month.

What a placement looks like
Clean, respectful, and clearly labelled - never the cluttered ad experience that drives people away.
Our values come first
This is a heritage space, so we curate carefully. That protects the community's trust - and makes a partnership with us more meaningful, not less.
- Aligned partners only. We work with organisations that respect Punjabi and Sikh culture.
- Some categories we won't accept. No alcohol, tobacco, gambling, or anything at odds with the community's values.
- Always clearly labelled. Sponsorships are marked as such - we never disguise them as lessons.
- Learners stay first. Nothing that harms the experience or gates the free content.
