Punjabi Dialogues ਗੱਲਬਾਤ
Real everyday conversations - at the gurdwara, on the phone with Bibi, at the sabzi mandi - line by line in Gurmukhi, romanised Punjabi and English, with audio for every line. Read along, listen, then cover the English and test yourself.
Once a dialogue sounds familiar, try saying it back: you can record it in your own voice and compare it against the reference audio.
How to practise with dialogues
- Listen first - play each line before reading the romanisation.
- Shadow the audio - repeat each line aloud right after it plays.
- Take a role - cover one speaker's lines and answer from memory.
- Steal the patterns - swap words from the vocabulary into these sentence frames.
