Punjabi Emergency Phrases: Help, Ambulance, Police ਐਮਰਜੈਂਸੀ
The sentences you want already in your mouth: call an ambulance, there's been an accident, I need help now. Short, direct, no politeness softening.
What to know before you use these
- Drop the politeness on purpose — "Bachao!" and "Chheti karo!" carry no "ji" and no "kirpa karke". In an emergency the softeners are wrong, and adding them costs time.
- Drill this section to automatic — Recall under stress is far worse than you expect. This is the one category worth practising until it arrives without thinking.
- "Bulao" summons, "phone karo" calls — You bulao an ambulance — fetch or summon it — but phone karo the police. Both appear here as fixed pairings.
