Asking for Help in Punjabi ਮਦਦ
Getting someone's attention, asking a favour, and accepting or declining help without awkwardness.
What to know before you use these
- "Zaraa" and "thorha" do the softening — A little, just a bit — dropped into a request, they do more work than any word for please. "Zaraa hath lavaao" is gentler than any longer construction.
- The best learner sentences live here — "Pher ton kehna ji" and "hauli hauli bolo ji" will keep more conversations going than any amount of vocabulary.
- "Puchhan vich sango na" — Don't be shy about asking. Worth taking literally: the fastest learners are the ones willing to interrupt and ask again.
